You. Yes, you red box of rust, dog hair, and damp dog breath. We grew up fairly close to each other, but we never really met, or even knew each other. You served a family of three well, for 186,000 kilometers and 14 years. Just as I took possession of you, you were sweating your fluids and rotted away like no tomorrow.
The sound of your door chime still echoes in my mind, annoying me, begging me to pull the key out of the ignition, or to close the tailgate. Your alarm always went off scaring the neighbors once I locked the doors at night. Your glorious Duratec V6 was the most glorious thing I've ever heard. Your 6-CD Changer allowed me to blast the Prodigy, and your mirrors vibrated with the music, it almost seems like you enjoyed it as much as me.
You had two seized brake rotors, but you were so manipulable, you even allowed me to successfully remove them, and get fresh replacements. Your tailgate didn't always work, but I sorted that out too. Cancer treatment was too expensive for me to pay for, or even try to do myself, so for now we parted ways, and our relationship has now ended, I never came across to knowing your name. You would have made for an excellent driving companion.
All is not lost though. A cancer surgeon and expert physician are taking good care of you now, and will give you a new lease on life once the operation is over.
